After my 85 year old father and 96 year old aunt passed away from, among other things, congestive heart failure, I got a break from care-giving and realized it was time for me to address my own health. I am 57 years old and work full time in a high-stress profession. Though I was not really that far from my ideal weight, I decided that I was not as fit or as strong as I wanted to be. I had tried other programs, such as water aerobics and yoga, but I was looking for something different. I decided to sample the LGN Boot Camp on a trial basis for a couple of weeks in February 2011.

January 2009 I had not been feeling well. I was very stressed, emotionally fragile and I started to become forgetful and unfocused. My knees ached, my feet ached and I got winded walking and climbing stairs. My weight was close approaching 300#. That was a lot to carry on my 5’ 4” frame. In October I had the opportunity to participate in “Look Good Naked Boot Camp.” I had heard great things about boot camp classes and thought-why not? It can only help. I discussed my health concerns with my trainers. They worked with me and adjusted for my limitations.

When working out with my LGN trainers, I feel like I'm in hell and Satan is my trainer. I tell them that all the time, and they don’t seem to mind, it’s almost like it gives them pleasure to torture me. However, the results speak for themselves.

The LGN trainers have the ability to determine what each individual needs to succeed and are there to support you in any way she can. So what happens after boot camp? LGN boot camp teaches you so much about working out that you leave knowing how to maintain the intensity you need to keep going.

When I enrolled in boot camp, I weighed 297 lbs and was completely out of shape. I was unable to do one push-up or run even for one full minute. The LGN workous were extremely intense workouts that caused my body to be very sore. The trainers encouraged and pushed me every single time we worked out so that I could get the best results possible. After completing one session of boot camp, I had lost 44 lbs and was able to do 27 push-ups, real ones, not girl push-ups! After completing a 2nd session of boot camp I lost another 40 lbs and ran 2 5Ks successfully!

When I first started LGN boot camp I was about 310 lbs. The trainers not only helped me keep track of my weekly goals and targets but also became friends. The trainers were no non-sense but kind and caring at the same time. By the end of my 3rd boot camp I weighed 230lbs. I never could have done that without the LGN boot camp program and the trainer's guidance.

The combination you have going seems to be just what my wife needed and continues to need - the encouragement, the challenge, the accountability. I had given up on ever seeing the wife of my youth again. … Then, just when I was expecting that she would never change... she morphed like a caterpillar into a butterfly. Her confidence is up. Her snoring is down. Her back pain is no longer a concern. She has thrown out her "fat" clothes. She wants to do "active" activities with me. She is no longer self conscious no matter what she is or isn't wearing. Her eating habits have changed.
